Why the Scale Sucks



The number one thing that frustrates you and throws you off of all the good things you are doing for your health, is almost always the scale! You let a flash of a number from an inanimate object dictate your entire mood and I promise you it will change for a lot of different reasons on an hourly basis! Instead, think of how you feel and all the positive changes you have made and stop letting the scale get in your way. It won’t tell you if you’re losing fat and gaining muscle so the number isn’t really relevant unless you can use it as a small piece of information, simply one tool in your toolbox that can help you on your journey. Can it tell you if your heart is healthier or your blood sugar is more stable or your sleep has improved or your skin has cleared up or if you are happy in your relationships, especially the one with yourself? Nope! 

So use it in a positive informational way or lose it.
