The 411 on the H2O
Chronic dehydration is SO REAL! I’m not a pusher of much, but I am a water pusher to my clients. It is one of the first pieces that we tackle because it is essential to your healthy for so many different reasons.
You are mostly made up of agua so chug it! If you’re looking for guidelines, divide your weight in pounds by half and that is how many minimum ounces you should try to have each day. Buy yourself a big water bottle so you only have to mindfully fill it up 2 to 3 times a day instead of trying to estimate with a little cups or bottles. The less thinking, the better!
Water is involved in every process in the body. It helps keep you full and your hungry in check as it fills up your stomach/tank.
It aids in metabolizing, digesting and absorbing your food and keeps everything moving through your body as in, it’s key for regular bowel movements.
Sorry to use this word, but it’s your lubricant! It creates saliva for breaking food down and maintaining oral health, hydrates your skin, and protects your tissues, spine and joints.
Thirst is an emergency signal! So don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink.
Drink water first thing in the morning before your coffee or breakfast and keep it going throughout the day. Just cut it off early enough before bedtime so you’re not up peeing all night!
Cheers!
